Ingredients
2 lb. cooking apples
2 Tbsp. water
Juice of 1 lemon
8 oz. ginger biscuits
3 oz. brown sugar
2 oz. butter
Method
Peel, core, and thinly slice apples.
Place in a shallow ovenproof dish; sprinkle with lemon juice, brown sugar, and water.
Cover and bake at 375 F. - Gas Mark 4 till apples are tender, about 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, crush biscuits and stir in melted butter. Cover apples with this mixture and bake for a further 15 minutes.
Serve hot with custard or cream.
