Ingredients
3 medium potatoes
12 oz. Cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. whipping cream
Freshly ground pepper
4 garlic cloves, crushed
Method
Combine potatoes in large saucepan with enough water to cover and bring to a boil over high heat.
Reduce heat and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes.
Drain well.
Let stand until cool.
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Slice potatoes thinly and arrange in a lightly buttered shallow baking dish.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Top with 1/3 of cheese.
Pour over 1/2 of cream.
Top with 1/3 of the remaining cheese.
Pour over remaining cream.
Top with remaining cheese.
Sprinkle garlic evenly over top.
Bake until browned and crisp, about 40 minutes.
