DBE in NC is proud to be partnering with the Elizabethan Gardens on this very special day, with the planting of an English Oak tree in honor of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee celebrations, and the Queen's Green Canopy initiative.
Her Majesty’s Consul General to the South-eastern United States has written a letter of congratulations to the Elizabethan Gardens on the occasion of their 70th anniversary and his thanks to the Daughters of the British Empire in North Carolina for planting this commemorative oak tree as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy. “Everyone across the United Kingdom is joining in this long-lasting legacy to achieve a more sustainable, green, and clean world. It is organizations such as Elizabethan Gardens and Daughters of the British Empire that inspire the next generation to fulfill acts of public service and so we thank you for all that you do for your communities and wish you continued success for many years to come.” To read the full letter, click here.
